Zuhair Murad's latest collection was a departure from the traditional princess dress and bridal wear. Instead, the designer paid homage to Phoenicia, the forebear of Lebanon, and its nautical legacy. The collection featured commanding shoulders, sleek lines, fluid drapery and an abundance of shimmering accents that rivaled the glitz of his front-row attendees.

Innovative Fashion Design Inspired by Greco-Roman Empire

The most creative fashion looks of the season featured a sinuous mesh pattern of bunches of grapes and vines woven into white numbers, evoking the ancient Greco-Roman Empire. A draped dress in a faded wine red color was adorned with grapevine patterns at the neck and hips, adding a touch of elegance. The designs with arabesque and mosaic-like geometric patterns in various metallic shades had a contemporary feel that could easily translate into modern-day fashion.
